‘Well Hello!’ Edinburgh Festival Fringe!

Posted on August 8, 2019 Under Events

It’s Fringe time and we are sooooo excited!

Not only can you collect your tickets from our official Fringe Ticket Collection Point throughout August, as well as picking up official merchandise while you’re there, but we’ve got so much more in store for you this Fringe season…

Waverley Mall’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe ticket collection point is conveniently located just inside the doors, on the upper level at the Waverley Bridge end of the Centre, opposite New Look.

You’ll also find an exclusive pop-up Johnnie Walker bar on the roof of the centre, on the corner of Waverley Bridge and Princes Street, where you can enjoy a refreshing take on Scotland’s national drink. With five delicious Johnnie Walker whisky highballs including Johnnie & Peach, Johnnie & Lemon, Johnnie & Ginger, Johnnie & Elderflower and Johnnie & Green Tea to sample throughout the festival, we’re sure you’ll stumble upon a personal fave!

Fringe Club will also be hosting a series of events at the Johnnie Walker bar for members, throughout the festival.

We will be putting on our own celebration of Scottish talent with the August edition of ‘The Waverley Sessions – Fringe Special’ on Saturday 17th and Sunday 19th August. The event which is run in partnership with The Youth Radio Network, is completely FREE to enjoy and will see a huge variety of acts take to the stage between 11am and 5pm each day, so why not pop in and have a listen?

Johnnie Walker is running an exciting competition in partnership with The Fringe – offering telephone and online ticket purchasers the chance to win a great selection of Johnnie Walker and Fringe-themed prizes. Prizes on offer include the chance to meet the voice of Love Island and renowned Fringe veteran, Iain Stirling, plus Fringe vouchers and delicious Johnnie Walker whisky highballs at the bar on Waverley Mall. Customers could also win a premium whisky tour of Glenkinchie Distillery in East Lothian and drinks at Scotch at The Balmoral, Edinburgh’s iconic luxury hotel. Terms and conditions apply. See www.edfringe.com for details.

Waverley Mall provides the perfect base for Fringe-goers throughout August– conveniently located just off Princes Street, next to Waverley Station, we’ve got a great collection of food outlets and stores – packed with all your essentials, all undercover.  Plus Festival Village and the Born in the Borders Bar on the roof, in addition to the Johnnie Walker bar, offer a vibrant venue for you to kick back and relax with a drink or bite to eat at one of the delicious street food vendors.
